Chicago/Detroit based Joseph CR Vourteque hosts a class detailing basic and advanced character development for short form variety, vaudeville, burlesque and MC performance. A celebrated MC and performer in his own right, Vourteque has done circus, sideshow, burlesque and hosted events throughout the United States. The class will highlight use of posture, props and vocal inflection in creating a basic character and advance into motivation and “do’s and don’ts” for a variety-stage acts and MCs. The class will include student participation, students should be dressed in clothing that is comfortable to stand and move in.
