Pilates is a series of poses and exercises focused on strength, sculpting lean muscles and gaining flexibility. With a focus on breathing and alignment, Pilates is a great choice for those looking for low impact workout with medium intensity. It is more intense than a typical yoga class, but less intense than circuit training or a bootcamp. You will be working on your core, legs and glutes in particular. When practiced with consistency, Pilates improves balance and flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the whole human body.
We recommend you bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water. If you tend to sweat, a washcloth or towel is suggested. Comfortable clothing such as yoga pants, T-shirts, tank tops, sweat pants, etc. suggested. You will be barefoot during the session.
