Learn basic belly dance technique, posture, movement, and combinations.
This course will teach basic body mechanics, timing, and flow of movement for the beginning belly dancer or anyone looking for a fun, low impact, varying intensity work out. Learn now to create slinky, snake-like movements and strong, powerful statements with any type of music. Each week will be different, however content in later classes will build on previous coursework. Full session is recommended, however those atttending single classes should be able to pick up quickly.

No dance experience necessary. All levels welcome. Variations can be made for more experienced dancers and those with health considerations. Wear comfortable clothing that will not restrict your movement. A scarf, shawl, or belt can be helpful in emphasizing hip movements. Belly dance is generally practiced and performed barefoot, however soft-soled dance shoes are acceptable. Bring a water bottle, notebook, and a positive attitude.

Classes are $15 for single class or $50 for a full 5 week session
